Yo! Opera offers you the chance to realize your dream opera!

November 5th – Stadsschouwburg Utrecht - 8 pm
Pitch your own idea / dream for a youth opera and win € 1.000 research budget to further develop your idea! There are three prizes to win.

The prize winners will present their further developed plans in 2010. One of the three plans will be taken into production for the following Yo! Opera Festival in 2011!

Everyone has a dream. What is your’s? What do you think (youth)opera in the 21st century should sound like? Which themes are you interested in and what working methods do you have in mind? What is your dream opera?

Rules
Dream without limits! Don’t bother about consequences or feasibility at this stage. Be visionary. The only element you should keep in mind is that the audience of your opera will be between 10 and 16 years old.
You will present you idea in an informal open space. You will have 15 minutes to present it, including time for questions. Enroll and you will get more info on technical limitations and support.

Jury & jam
Two of the three prizes are selected by a specialist jury, one by the audience. So bring your friends! After party & jam session until 12 pm
