Change Your World is a musical theatrical show by and for young people, made by pupils from Oosterlicht College in Nieuwegein in co-production with VocaalLAB. The show is about all the concerns youth have and all the things they occupy themselves with in every-day life. It is based on global themes, using original texts and recent news items. The composition by Rogier Bosman gives young pupils the opportunity to interpret and show these in their own way. It is a mix of intriguing song, spectacular rhythms and unexpected sound explosions.

Elvis 2.0 is about the desire for change and the need to keep moving. Elvis is a boy who has all he could possibly wish for. One day, he notices that despite his successes his life has come to a standstill. He decides to go to a three-star hotel in Malerba at the expense of his father to – as his friends mockingly say– "go search for himself". By some whim of fate he ends up on the other side of the world. In this strange environment he meets an enchanting people, who teach him to have faith in himself.

Sahand Sahebdivani is not a singer, but he is the son of the best singer ever: Parwin Akhbari, his mother! Her voice reflects everything she went through in her life. When she was young, she wasn't allowed to sing, but Sahand improvises pieces of music to which he can make her voice heard.
Through YouTube Sahand has asked musicians from all over the world to send him music to which his mother can sing.

Who says hip-hop and opera don't mix? In MonteverdISH, a hip-hop break-dance opera, ISH shows that the two can be combined! In this ultimate cross-over production, break-dance and hip-hop merge with opera and classical music. ISH and VocaalLAB transform the opera l’Incoronazione di Poppea by Claudio Monteverdi and music by Perquisite into their own unique piece. It is an impressive story which brings together the pursuit of power and the power of love.

The Likeminds' young generation and British hip-hop phenomenon Benji Reid joined forces. The young actors manipulate Shakespeare's characters, and this has some deadly consequences. The question which remains at the end of the story is: Who will take the blame?

This show was created by comparing the personal stories of two groups of young people. All the pupils in the audience were asked to put their own thoughts on paper. Students in Egypt were asked to do the same. These texts were assembled and put to music - music about a revolution in a country where freedom did not exist; music about a country where everything is available, but where no one is aware of this luxury. Music by and for young people on unbridgeable differences and striking similarities.

On the basis of sounds of protests from all over the world, Thanasis presents an experience of the senses you will long remember. You will be in a small room which is completely filled with video images and the intense sounds of angry people, people who demand justice or who raise their voices because they want others to hear their discord. What does indignation sound like in Japan? And what is the sound of injustice in Greece?

Heroine, a Female Lament is a 15 minute music drama – a multi discipline performance for dance, music, video and live electronics. The triangle between music, image and movement is the basis for the idiom used in this miniature drama. The music by Kim-José Bode forms a clear basic framework. It is the story's starting point and it creates the right atmosphere for a journey into the inner world of a female hero – a heroine.

This opera describes the search of the young artist Martin for inspiration and meaning. He just moved to Amsterdam and does voluntary work for homeless people. That is how he hopes to hear stories and meet characters he can use in his new opera, and for his studies at university. However, he fails. He doesn't hear any good stories and neither does he meet anyone he is able to trust. He gets stuck in his work. That is when he is confronted with ethical and artistic dilemmas he never expected to come across.

Veldwerk is a growing series of musical community portraits. A journey from town to town. It's a concert, a show and documentary all at once. It's about the people. About Henk and Ingrid, the Dutch average couple. But also about Arthur, Harald, Roel, Tjalling and Wessel – the musicians of Susies Haarlok. For this project, they step into the streets of Utrecht to talk to local residents. Their song texts are based directly on these conversations. Susies Haarlok wants to know: Who are the people? What do they do? And what do they think of each other?

Pupils from Gerrit Rietveld College have composed a mini opera, which centres around the theme Young Heroes. They wrote libretto and music themselves and also put it on stage.

Several pupils from De Werkplaats Kindergemeenschap perform the opera Tante is Jarig [Aunt's Birthday]. It is based on the story of Floddertje by the famous Dutch author of children's books Annie M.G. Schmidt.

Pupils from Gerrit Rietveld College have composed a mini opera, which centres around the theme Young Heroes. They wrote libretto and music themselves and also put it on stage.

Several pupils from De Werkplaats Kindergemeenschap perform the opera Tante is Jarig [Aunt's Birthday]. It is based on the story of Floddertje by the famous Dutch author of children's books Annie M.G. Schmidt.
