The Turk Othello has just married Desdemona, the daughter of his Dutch boss. During their wedding bash she hears that her father has died. In a video message he announces he has left his television station Holland TV not to his eldest son Iago, but to Othello. Iago is seething with jealousy. And when the leading role in the station’s new TV series is yanked out from under his nose, he is furious and determined to have his revenge.

Xynix Opera makes youth opera that matters. This swinging adaptation of Shakespeare will be a worthy addition to the Yo! Opera Festival.
