Muziektheater Transparant goes to town with the music of Henry Purcell. Spirits, nymphs, phantoms and witches inhabit his musical world. A group of young singers and instrumentalists dove in and turned it into a fresh, unique opera. No rehashed old stuff: a modern-day tale. Why would someone choose to flee reality? And how would your ‘second life’ look? A story of the internet as the place for virtual encounters, communication and confrontations. Purcell’s music is wonderful to listen to, so musical enjoyment is guaranteed.
